The Wolf River originates from Forest County in Northern Wisconsin. After departing Pine Lake, the river winds through some of the most desirable rafting and kayaking class waters in the country. As the river arrives in Shawano, it feeds Shawano Lake and flows into North American Hydro's dam. The sturgeon "stack up" there in the spring and data is collected by the DNR. Continuing south, the Wolf River encounters communities of all size and sees areas that aren't accessible to most anglers. As it arrives in Shiocton, it fills the marshes and bayous to promote walleye and other game fish spawning. Stephensville, Hortonville and New London are the next villages and cities on the way down. Below New London, just after passing through Weyauwega, the river swings through the White Bass Capitol of the World, Fremont. Swinging out past Ted's Grandview the river makes it's final journey to Winneconne and into Lake Poygan and meets the Fox River for a joint flow into Lake Winnebago.
